Ruka, a lonely girl, is depicted in a delicate, gentle rhythm. On the contrary, the vast world that contains the ocean, the sky and space, moves toward a wild, avant-garde climax and conclusion.
Ruka gets tired of the little events with her handball team and her alcoholic mother. She visits the aquarium where she used to go when she was young. There she meets Umi, who swims freely in the water. After she meets the brothers Umi and Sora, they spend a fun summer together.

“Children of the Sea” presents a metaphorical illustration of human birth and death by using diverse elements such as water, womb, motherhood and children. The big waves, crashing sounds and shining stars create a splendid and explosive climax and ending in a memorable style.

BIAF2021 will be held at the same routine 22-26 October, 2021 at Bucheon, just outside Seoul, South Korea.
